About Me
A little bit about me: I'm a photographer and still use 35mm film for my photography, read anything from graphic novels [aka comics] to books to airplane emergency manuals and airline stock booklets. I play video games, write unfinished novels, I also DJ at Basket [primarily Electro House/Electroclash] every now and again, an event thrown by KUMA SF. I have a kinky side but that's hardly a deciding factor in who i am friends with or date and if you're curious about said kinky side, feel free to ask. I go country western dancing every week, it's probably one of my favorite ways to blow off steam. I love horror movies, hiking, and camping. Three things that when you really think about it don't mix very well at all. I drink tea not coffee, but i love coffee ice cream.
Favorite authors include: Bret Easton Ellis, Douglas Coupland, Hunter S. Thompson, Jack Kerouac and Chuck Palahniuk.
Music is probably one of the bigger passions in my life. I listen to it incessantly. All kinds and all genres. Anything from Laurie Anderson to Death Cab For Cutie to Brad Paisley to Fischerspooner to Husker Du to Interpol etc etc etc. I tried playing bass guitar a long time ago, but sold it when i was bouncing around the country and not eating just didn't sound all that appealing to me. I also am part of a primarily gay hockey team called the Goaldiggers, I'm mainly a defense man but am hoping to test the offensive waters once our team becomes more solid.
Right now my life is about restructuring, and that's pretty much what i've been doing. I have some amazing friends, started dating again [although somewhat casually], while balancing the social and creative sides of my life. I can be incredibly internal at times.
I just started a new job working for Sony as a game tester and for the first time in a long time, i can honestly say i love my job. Besides, geek chic is the new pretentious hipster.
If you've made it this far, congrats, but unfortunately i can't guarantee you'll be any wiser for it.
