cowboyrev: I'm gay

I'm gay

Sep 19 2017 at 11:15am
As I was lying in bed awhile ago, dealing with hot flashes, but no fever, once my body started to regulate normally again, I couldn't help but think about me being gay and what the Bible says about homosexuality.

Back in the early 90's, I battled with being gay, I even went as far as becoming suicidal because I didn't want to be gay. It wasn't until the year 2000 when I really got real with myself and God about being gay. I researched everything in the Bible that I could about homosexuality. During the year 2009, was when I came out of the closet, and announced to my family and friends that I was gay.

While I was lying in bed this past hour or so, one thought kept repeating itself over and over. "Why would one simply choose to be gay? If being gay was a choice like picking the Big Mac or a cheeseburger, than why are there so many of us who struggle with being gay? Why are there so many of us committing suicide because of being gay?" Being gay is who we are, we don't simply choose it, but it chooses us. Now if straight Joe and straight Bill has random sex once or twice a week just to have sex, that my friend is the homosexuality the Bible is talking about. But if gay Joe and gay Bill falls in love with each other and has sex, then where is the wrong in two people, who truly love each other, expressing that love physically. Ray Boltz, a christian song writer, wrote the song Don't Tell Me Who To Love
He couldn't of said it any plainer.

For the record, I am not condemning, judging, etc. I'm just throwing this out there.
