Update: Jan 22 -- Bought a proper rope and glove this weekend to bone up on roping skills. Lots to learn. I'm eager to hit Phoenix and live it all first hand. Hopes (fantasies) of doing well, but going to chalk all this up to a learning experience whatever happens.

If any cowboys out there are willing to lend me a mentoring hand in either roping or chute dogging, let's talk. Til then...Happy Trails.

Update: Dec 19 -- I'm beat after two days of riding bulls....literally. Sore from head to toe, but exhilarated to have had the experience. I'm too old to do this regularly and I enjoy my good health too much, but man what a adrenalin rush. On to pick up the basics in calf roping after the holidays.

Update: Dec 18 -- Rode myfirst bull today at a Sankey Rodeo School. Learned the basics of technique, equipment, and procedure. It was fun donning spurs for the first time. Practiced on a "Il Toro" practice unit and then made a real run on a live one. Tomorrow is more bulls and less drills. So far, only came away with a scraped right shin. Let's pray that's the worst of it. Having a blast and thanks for your support.

Well, what can I say about myself? I enjoy myself I think more than anyone else does, is that bad? HaHa JOKING! I love friends and I love a good time with friends. I truly love life and love meeting people who enjoy laughing. I have been told that I light up a room when I enter it, I do not know if all that is true, but I do know that I pride myself on being able to talk to people, make them smile, laugh, and have a good time. I enjoy "straight" situations just as much as I do "gay" situations. I believe that if you do not have the happy medium between the two, you truly aren't living. Just turned the BIG 40!!!
6'4", 295, Brn, Hzl, Hairy, Goatte/Beard, Shaved Head/Buzzed Cut and just your average run of the mill type of guy. I like the outdoors, rodeos, fishing, camping, 4X4ing, hunting, horseback riding, drinking beer, hanging out with friends, traveling, and enjoy a nice cigar/pipe from time to time as well.
