Generally quiet and shy until you get to know me, but with a definite sense of humor(sometimes a little weird or bizarre)and impishness that shows up when you least expect it. I try to stay healthy, active, and positive. Have my serious side, but plan to enjoy life, laugh, and look for everything that life has to offer for as long as I can and won't give in to aging without a fight. I still want to tandem skydive and/or paraglide for starters. I grew up in KS but have spent all of my adult life in Colorado, first Denver and the western slope for the last 26 years. I like to travel, atv, camp, ski cook, listen to music (all kinds) watch movies, play video games, cards, share a few beers with friends and occasionally meet up with my old skiing buddy, Yukon Jack. 5'11, about 205 and in good health. Had a bout with the big C (prostate) 8 years ago and kicked it's butt. I have a great sense of humor and love to make plays on words (and other things too). I can be laid back or high energy. Enjoy lots of good company and like to surround myself with groups of good buds who like to have fun. Sometimes have solitary moments when I just want to be alone. Like to keep the drama out of my life as there is enough in this world already. I tend to look for the positive and accept people for who they are and have no desire to try to change them. I have a woman for a roommate (former wife). Our relationship is based on friendship and a commitment to the well being of our entire family (all grown and gone). We each have outside relationships, both of us with guys, (but we don’t share). Sound a little like an updated version of Brokeback Mtn. It is and our living arrangements are kind of like Will and Grace (separate quarters on separate floors of the house with shared kitchen). If you got this far, the rest is about me. Some of us reaching senior status don't feel and act like what most people think of seniors. The saying is the old 50 is the new 65. I recently read that no matter what age a man reaches, he always thinks he is 31. I think there is some validity to that and I still have a younger-oriented mindset and refuse to grow-up even though I'm getting older. Others say being 65 is similar to what people used to be like at 50 and I think that is exactly how I feel. In fact I feel and act younger now than I did at 50. So even though there may a little snow showing on the mountain top, the rest of the mountain is warm and sunny. Guys to hang out, chat and socialize with. If we are attracted okay, but not actively looking for a LTR at this time, but if it happens, that could be even better. I love to chat so feel free to send a message. |
